Funding for the chair, the room and the retail wall.

Backbar Capital funds salons, spas, barbershops, nail studios and med spas directly — $10,000 to $2,000,000, decided off your bank statements, in your account in 24 hours. No minimum credit score. No cut of your card sales. Service and retail deposits both count.

4-minute application. Checking your options does not affect your credit.

The difference that shows up in February

A salon’s money arrives five different ways. We count all five.

Card settlements from the front desk. Payouts from Vagaro, Square or Booksy. Cash services and the cash tips that get deposited. Booth rent from the renters down the hall. Product and retail off the wall. A lender that reads one processor’s feed sees a fraction of that and sizes your offer off the fraction.

Backbar Capital underwrites the bank statement, so a shop that runs half its floor on booth rent and half on commission payroll is a normal file, not a confusing one. Repayment is a fixed daily or weekly ACH out of your operating account — a number you know before you sign, that doesn’t ride up and down with your card volume and doesn’t touch your booking-app deposits.

  • No split of card settlements, no holdback percentage, no lockbox
  • Booth rent, commission payroll, or a mixed floor — all fine
  • Works with any booking app or processor, or none
  • Med spas, massage, tanning and tattoo studios approved

January and February are slow for almost every salon and spa, and December is the opposite. A percentage holdback takes the most in the month you can least afford it. A fixed debit is a number you can put on a calendar and plan a quiet February around. If the payment stops working, you call us and we re-term it.

Four minutes. Three bank statements. No credit impact to apply.

How it works

Four minutes to apply. Twenty-four hours to fund.

1

Send us four minutes and three statements

Name, EIN, monthly revenue, what the money is for, and your three most recent months of business bank statements. Four if your year has a real slow season. No tax returns under $500,000.

2

An underwriter reads your file

Every file is read by a person, not a score. Card settlements, booking-app payouts, cash services and retail all count because they all land in the same account. We look at average daily balance, deposit count, NSF pattern and your slowest month. Offer in about four business hours.

3

Sign two pages and get funded

You see the amount, the payback, the payment and the schedule before you sign anything. A clean file signed before 11:00 AM ET generally funds the same day; otherwise next business day.

Why Backbar

Built by people who have read a salon’s bank statement.

Your January isn’t a red flag to us.

Most underwriting models punish a January that runs well under December. We read the post-holiday dip as the shape of the business, not instability. If your year has a real slow season, send four months of statements instead of three and we’ll size the payment against your floor, not your average.

We fund the whole floor, not just the card terminal.

Booth rent, commission payroll, cash services, booking-app payouts and retail all land in the same operating account. A processor-based lender sees one slice. We underwrite the deposits, so every slice counts toward what you qualify for.

Re-term it instead of stacking it.

If the payment stops working, call us before you take a second position somewhere else. We’d rather restructure a live file than watch an owner end up on four advances. That conversation costs you nothing.

A two-page contract you can read between clients.

Amount, payback, payment, schedule, prepayment discount. Two pages. If something in it isn’t clear, ask on the phone and we’ll walk the line with you.

Straight answers

Questions salon and spa owners actually ask.

Can I get salon funding with bad credit?

Yes. Backbar Capital has no minimum credit score for working capital advances or invoice factoring. We underwrite your business bank statements — deposit volume, average daily balance, NSF pattern, and month-to-month consistency. A line of credit needs 600+, a term loan 650+, and an SBA loan 680+.

How much can a salon or spa borrow?

Backbar Capital funds $10,000 to $2,000,000 in working capital, and up to $5,000,000 on term loans, SBA 7(a), and factoring facilities. Working capital approvals generally land between 75% and 150% of one month’s bank deposits.

How fast can a salon get funded?

About four business hours to an offer on a complete file, and 24 hours to funding. A clean file signed before 11:00 AM ET generally funds the same day.

Do you take a percentage of my card sales or booking-app payouts?

No. Backbar Capital repays by a fixed daily or weekly ACH from your business operating account. There is no split of your card settlements, no holdback percentage on your Vagaro, Square or Booksy payouts, and no lockbox. You keep 100% of every service and every retail sale as it settles.

My stylists are booth renters. Does that count as revenue?

Yes. Booth rent that lands in your business account is a deposit like any other, and so is the commission-floor revenue you keep. We underwrite the deposits, not the staffing model, so a salon running a mixed floor of renters and commission stylists is a normal file here.

Do cash services and cash tips count?

Cash counts when it is deposited. A barbershop or nail salon that takes a meaningful share of its services in cash is invisible to a lender reading a single processor’s feed. We read the bank statement, so every dollar you deposit counts toward what you qualify for. Tips that are paid straight through to staff and never hit the account do not.

What documents do I need?

A four-minute application and your three most recent months of business bank statements — four months if your year has a real slow season. No tax returns under $500,000, no business plan, and no collateral for working capital.

Do I need a specific booking app or processor?

No. Backbar Capital works with Vagaro, Square, Booksy, GlossGenius, Fresha, Mindbody, Boulevard, Phorest, Zenoti, or no booking software at all. Underwriting is based on bank deposits, so a cash-drawer barbershop qualifies on the same terms as a fully app-booked med spa.

What happens if I pay it off early?

You keep up to 30% of the remaining cost of funding. A working capital advance paid off inside the first 30, 60, or 90 days qualifies for a prepayment discount of up to 30% on the remaining cost of funding.

What is the minimum monthly revenue for salon funding?

$15,000 a month in business bank deposits, with a minimum of 6 months in business and a U.S. business bank account. Backbar Capital funds in all 50 states.

Your slow season has a date on it. Get ahead of it.

$10,000 to $2,000,000. No minimum FICO. Four minutes to apply.
